Timeline & manual edits
The timeline has an Edit lane on top (one block per shot, colored by camera) and one lane per camera below it. Each camera lane shows a filmstrip and waveform; the stretches where that camera is on air are outlined and bright, the rest is dimmed. Sections you removed show as hatched gaps.
Change the camera
- Paint: drag across a camera's lane to use it for that stretch.
- Cut at the playhead: press 1 to 9 (or click a camera card) to switch to that camera from the playhead to the end of the shot. It works while playing, too.
- Whole shot: select it and click a camera in the Edit tab.
Trim, split, delete
- Trim: drag a shot's edge in the Edit lane. Edges snap to sentence starts, the playhead and other cuts; hold ⌥ to turn snapping off. Dragging the edge between two shots moves both.
- Split: S splits the shot at the playhead.
- Delete: ⌫ removes the selected shot and closes the gap (a ripple delete).
Move around
Click the ruler or drag it to scrub. Scroll to pan, ⌘-scroll or pinch to zoom, ⌘0 fits the whole timeline. The arrow keys step a second (⇧ five, ⌥ a frame); ↑ ↓ jump between shots.
Undo and saving
⌘Z and ⇧⌘Z undo and redo everything, including Claude's edits. The project saves itself after each change.
Sound
The speaker button on a camera card chooses whose microphone is the sound of the edit.
