Roadmap

What we plan to build next. Nothing here is a promise or a date; it is the list we are working through, roughly in order. Follow progress in the changelog or on GitHub.

Next

• Notarised builds. Distribution Sign and notarise the app so macOS stops asking you to right-click Open on first launch.
• Active-speaker detection. Claude Tell Claude who is talking from the audio, so it does not have to infer it from the words.
• Revise by instruction. Claude "Hold the wide a little longer", "cut to the guest on that laugh".

Editing

• Separate audio recorders. Line up and use a dedicated microphone recording as the sound.
• Clip speed, fades and cross-dissolves between shots.
• Captions burned in from the transcript.
• Vertical reframing of any camera for short-form exports.

Export

• Export a range or a selection of shots.
• XML export to continue in another editor.

Platforms

• Windows port. Platform EditAI is macOS only today because it relies on the Mac's own decoders and encoders. A Windows version would need a different path for each.
